History
Flying Trout Wines is a result of winemaker Ashley Trout's annual winemaking ventures in Mendoza, Argentina from February until May and in the Walla Walla Valley during the remainder of the year.
Flying Trout produces fewer than 600 cases a year. Most releases are fewer than 100 cases.
We joined forces with Tero Estates in 2010, moving the winery and production facility to Milton Freewater, Oregon. On February 11th, 2011, we opened our downtown Walla Walla shop. Hours of operation and information can be found on our home page.
In the Spring of 2013, Ashley took an extended sabbatical in preparation for the birth of her 2nd child. Doug Roskelley will continue making the Flying Trout Wines.
From peppery malbecs out of Walla Walla to the more feminine and fruit forward malbecs in Mendoza, Flying Trout Wines aims to bring you a little bit of the best of the world and nothing else.
